Anemone

Canada Anemone appears delicate with its singular white cup-shaped flower atop a wiry stalk and graceful leaves, but lest anyone be fooled, this plant is incredibly hardy. It can dramatically fill an area in swaths of blooms in spring to early summer in the right conditions, and the foliage remains full and lush even after the plant has gone to seed. Confident and beautiful, this plant has mastered the art of spreading with its thick rhizomes that form gorgeous, though tricky to contain, colonies.
